As a Ph.D. candidate in economics at the University of Warsaw, my research interests encompass macroeconomics, development economics, and labor economics. My current focus is on wage and income inequality, both in the United States and in middle-income countries, as well as on issues such as historical inequality, gender inequality, the Big Mac Affordability Index, the political economy, and the Turkish economy.
In my work, I frequently utilize R software for empirical research and Latex for document preparation.
My paper, with Orkideh Gharehgozli, has been published in Policy Studies. This analyzes the response of 5 European currencies during the Ukraine-Russia war using an advanced Bayesian model & high-frequency data. My paper, with Orkideh Gharehgozli and Vidya Atal, has been published by Eastern European Economics. This study in Turkey shows a reduction in regional inequality between 2002 and 2020 but highlights a widening income gap between capitalists and workers, particularly after 2015. Additionally, the wage gap between male and female white-collar workers widened after the 2018 currency crisis, while the gap between male and female blue-collar workers improved. My paper, co-authored with Leszek Morawski, has been published in Global Social Policy. It explores the impact of social policies on our lives. It will take time and resources: Changing disability benefits on the way to social model in CEE countries.
